(a) — Working with us

Services

Everything beyond the sale of a work has its own scope, its own fee and its own written agreement. You will always know what is included, what is charged and who is responsible.

Where we refer a specialist — a conservator, a shipper, a framer — we tell you if we receive anything for the referral. Most often we do not.

01

Acquisition advice

Collectors building a collection with intent

A brief-setting conversation, a researched selection, viewing, and a written rationale for each work proposed.

Fee

Included when you buy through the gallery. A standalone search mandate is quoted as a fixed fee.
02

Search mandates

Collectors looking for a specific artist, period or work

We approach owners and the trade on your behalf, verify title and condition, and present documented options.

Fee

Fixed engagement fee plus an agreed buyer's fee, disclosed in writing before we begin.
03

Collection review

Owners of ten works or more

A room-by-room record: identification, documentation gaps, condition notes, framing, hanging and care plan.

Fee

Day rate, quoted after a short scoping call.
04

Valuation for insurance

Owners needing a documented replacement value

A dated, purpose-stated valuation with basis, assumptions and limitations set out in full.

Fee

Fixed fee per schedule. Independent valuers are appointed where reliance or conflict requires it.
05

Framing, installation and care

Anyone who has bought a work, from us or elsewhere

Conservation framing, fixings, lighting advice, two-person installation and written care guidance.

Fee

Quoted per project. Where we refer a specialist supplier, any referral income is disclosed.
06

Corporate and design projects

Interior designers, architects and workplace clients

Brief, artwork schedule, budget, samples, installation programme and a written acceptance process.

Fee

Project fee or retainer against defined milestones.
07

Storage

Clients between homes, or holding works off-display

Climate-controlled storage with a named insured value, access terms, handling and release rights.

Fee

Monthly fee by volume. We do not offer open-ended free storage.

(b) — What we will not do

Boundaries we keep

  • We do not advise you to sell, borrow against or cash in any financial product in order to buy art.
  • We do not guarantee a resale, a buyer, a timetable or a future price, and we will not imply one.
  • We do not treat an in-house valuation as money available to you. It answers a stated question on a stated date.
  • We do not offer indefinite free storage, or hold your work against fees without telling you the terms first.
  • We do not charge both sides of a transaction without disclosing it in writing and agreeing how the conflict is handled.
  • We do not manufacture urgency. If you need more time, take it — the work will still be described the same way tomorrow.

Start with a conversation

Thirty minutes, no charge, no obligation. We will tell you honestly if what you need is not something we should be doing.
